Favorite Fruit Salad

We pretty much have this fruit salad at all family gathering. It is simply wonderful!


4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. melted butter
4 Tbsp. pineapple juice (reserve from canned pineapple, see below)
3 Tbsp. vinegar
3 Tbsp. sugar

2 cups whipping cream

2 large cans mandarin oranges
1 20-oz can pineapple chunks or tidbits (get the kind in its own juice, not syrup)
2 cups sliced grapes (I use 1 cup purple & 1 cup green)
1-2 cups small marshmallows
Drain fruit very well. 

Mix 1st set of ingredients and cook until thickened. Let cool.

Whip cream until peaks form. Add cooled mixture to whipped cream.

Add the fruit and marshmallows. Mix. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
